How did you find out about us? What were you searching for?
Google - looking for glucometer recycling info because I'm trying to set up a company focused on recycling glucometers and wanted to see what my competition would look like.

So far I can't find anyone who offers a glucometer recycling service and I know that this needs to be done because I worked in electronic recycling for years before getting laid off.

Just like cell phones, TVs, and computers, medical electronics like glucose monitors have useful resources and toxic chemicals in them that don't belong in the landfill.

Please help me in my venture by sending me your thoughts & ideas.

My website is www.MedeWaste.com and I'm always up for a good chat!

email me at phebert@medewaste.com
What do you do for a living?

I loved this movie, too, for its uplifting story (which is completely true, it is NOT a "based on" movie!!), but I mostly loved it because those forests is where my Grandfather had lived. If he had stayed, instead of being sent out of the country ...

Hi Patrick,
I got the message where you replied to my thread about the best insulin pump. My computer had crashed so I just got up and running and apologize for not being able to answer sooner. I wanted to tell you about a couple of things that might help while you are out of work. Since you live in Canada, I just don't know but anyway, if you can use a distributor for your supplies like CCS, you may get some financial help. In the states, we can use distributors and do not have to go thru the manufacturer. In fact, Medtronic like to use CCS. Their phone number is: 800/726-9811. Ask for the financial assistance dept. I am disabled and thru my disability, I have Medicare. I don't have a supplement as I can't afford one so with Medicare, they only cover 80% of most medical stuff. There are some procedures covered 100% but most stuff I have to pay the remainder. I knew I could not afford that so talked with them and I qualified for full financial help. They are picking up the full 20% of my pump and all my supplies every month. The only difference is my pump will be under the same warranty for 5 yr instead of 4. Medicare negotiates a special contract price on everything with all medical people and places. Due to that, they won't change out my pump for 5 yrs but that's fine with me. I feel truly blessed to have the extra help and hope you can get some help also. If you lived in the states, I could probably help you with other medical stuff but don't know much about Canada. As for my pump, I chose the Animas Ping. I felt it was the right choice for me. I'm really excited as they do my start up on Tuesday. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad to hear you love your pump. Please try CCS for ordering your supplies and see if they will contribute until you get a job.

We have to SHARE our information and REACH this multicultural population. AMIGO clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca

Thanks for your comment. we are setting up a foundation and a looking for gudelines, a diabetic webmaster to guide us in making an exciting webpage, with drawing power, a diabetic lawyer to set up a foundation, our funds are a nothing budget,so far, but know we will succeed, because the BRDFC, mission is ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE.Do you know of any diabetic language translater to better service the ethnic local diabetics in GTA. More emphasis is needed for this special market. This is one 91 computer rookie that is going to WEAR OUT, not RUST OUT, Keep in touch, because we have to do sometgingfor those who fall through the cracks. clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca

Patrick, that's great work that you're doing in relation to re-cycling, I try to do my bit here. It's getting more and more expensive to re-cycle, which puts a lot of people of, but I agree its important.
