I have been on weight watchers off and on for about 2 years now. Lost 16lbs but put some back on recently when I fell off the wagon. I think you do have to count the points since WW advise you to count all of the calories that you consume. Althoug...

hey bud, i am currently on ww and it's a pretty good plan. I have lost 4 pounds. You're assigned points, for example you would probably get 28 per day and 35 flex points for the week. you're not restricted from any food but you have to stay within...

I do. I struggled with that question a lot. There were days I was giving up 8-10 points to low blood sugar treatments. In the end, I decided that that wasn't what they had in mind because my meals weren't able to have as many nutritious elements i...

I just joined Weight Watchers yesterday! I've heard nothing but positive things from people who have done it, so figured I'd give it a try. So far it's working well. My brain works in numbers anyway, and I already measure out all my food, so I'm ...

I do weight watchers and I really enjoy it. It is slow, because the insulin has to be adjusted periodically. i have been doing WW for about 15 months and have lost 75 lbs so far. I am a believer. rick phillips

busy with work... I have a project in Virginia and I am headed down there (From Jersey) next Tuesday, plus all the birthdays and anniversaries and I just got a beating from my endo (holiday A1c was 7.0) so things have been, well hectic! ...but these are good problems if you ask me! except for sightly high a1c I have been enjoying the holidays (or should I say the slightly high a1c proves I was enjoying myself)!

I hope the strength and the hope at this site encourages you, and thanks for joining!

Welcome and may you have a healthy lifestyle living with diabetes in 2009. As an educator, you have a golden opportunity to be a ROLE MODEL.to your community. My advice as a 91 year, young, insulin-dependent, since 1977, is make sure you have a diabetic specialist, wear a MEDIC-ALERT, IDENTIFICATION, it can save your life in case of emergencies, listen to your body,it tells you when to sleep, eat, rest and exercise, use the AMIGOKIT way of networking, Call up 5 diabetics, DAILY, and keep in touch, and ask them to call 5 people.it could make a person's day and SAVE A LIFE. Check out www.restorethebantinghomestead.com. My personal commitment is to reach, insulin-dependent, diabetics, worldwide, and their are hundreds of millions and ask them to join me, JULY 30 annually ( insulin was discovered by DRS BANTING & BEST, JULY 30 1921, at U of TORONTO ) in silence, and give THANKS and show appreciation for this Canadian 'miracle' giving us a healthy lifestyle. If I as a 91 year, geezer, can still be a one who WALKS THE WALK and TALK THE TALK and reaching over 40.000 diabetics, since 1978, those who are younger can do a much better job. Keep in touch AMIGOKIT clarence.haynes@sympatico.ca

Hello Paul,

Although I am not an educator in the preverbial sense in the classroom. I was raised by an educator and worked with others in my careers helping others to learn about the job, themselves and others. What line of education are you in and how long have you been doing what you do?

I hope this site helps you with any challanges or questions you may have. Feel free to insert a photo of yourself if you want. Welcome!

Reed
