"Don't know anything about animal physiology, so I can only respond in terms of human diabetes -- but yes, sudden unexplained weight loss is one of the classic textbook symptoms. Constant urination and thirst is another. As is hunger, sometimes."

Help for Philippe

Hi everyone.My name is Sebastian, Philippe is my 7 month old kitten (Actually he's a stray that was born under my porch and I wanted to take care of him until I could find him a real home) a while ago Philippe fell very ill, I brought him to the vet and he said he had diabetes. Not having diabetes myself I'm trying to take care of him as best as I can however I might need help and thus "Hi everyone!!!!"He has lost a lot of weight. It's actually not for me, I had these stray kittens that were born under our porch, I got them fixed and socialize and was looking for a home for them and one got really sick. I brought him to the vet and it was determined that he has diabetes. I'm trying to get help to help him better
