My diabetic ferret Ninja was having an unexplained high for a couple days, so i called the vet and got him for an appt. He has been on lantus but now due to this high the doc decided to start him on 5 units of novolog and hopefully step him down but we will see what happens.

Since I lost avalon, Dakota has been looking for a friend. Today we have adopted another ferret into our clan of misfits.

Ninja was Adopted today, He was at the shelter since July 2012 and was farily aggresive with other ferrets.  They brought him and he took a liking to Kota so they are going to be cage mates. …

the day after xmas i started to see a CDE who put stuff in perspective and things have to change. In a matter of 2 weeks i went from having blood sugars in the 200-300 range to having 90-200 range. Since november i have been vomiting randomly after meals. After pleading with my PCP to get a referral to see a GI doc i finally got one. The only problem is now i have to play the waiting game with the referral…
