Post-sickocalypse... O the heartburn!!!!

After spending the greater part of last week with my head in the toilet (I checked, no babies here), this weekend was a BG rollercoaster! Woke up high, did a correction, o wait now its going to drop ten times more than it should. Shake, drink juice, eat a granola bar, check 20 minutes later, still low? Good god! more juice. Check 30 mins later, 20 (high)! Kripe! Go all "Adjustment Bureau" on that, and then it levels out.Well, let me tell you what happens next! I get the worst heartburn for like…See More

Sick with D

First of all I would like to say that in my family we call my diabetes, "the beaties". It makes it a little bit more fun.Anyhow, I've been sick the last two days, throwing up and the like, so all I want to do is sleep on the bathroom floor and post cute pictures of my dog sleeping all over me (he thinks he is being supportive, but really he is just making it harder for me when I have to run to the bathroom.)For situations like these I typically have an action plan, as I'm sure many of you do as…See More

To my dearest new friends here at TuDiabetes, I bid you a very late good morning from Canada.

For the last half a week, I have been put under some unusual stress dealing with issues surrounding my post-graduate studies and a financial hoop-la of excitement. I may come from a place where we have "free" medical assistance, but that doesn't mean everything is free. I've gone broke over the past couple of years trying to keep my head above water with this "Diabetes" thing and be in…

If you haven't yet, go log a Big Blue Test at http://www.bigbluetest.org/. If you have, do another!

Welcome to the family!! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of what you will learn is that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and vent to, if needed.
