"I'm a T2 and eat very little carb. Often none in a day. I keep pretty fit and need minimal medication [2 x 500mg Metformin and a1cs in the 5s.] I'm 10 years diagnosed. I don't however use supplements. I don't find them necessay.…"

"As everyone said your body will be more effective in producing glucose from proteins. Mine does. You would probably need to take more basal, not less. But may be able to reduce mealtimes."

"Honestly it sounds like you're about as low as you can go if you're truly a Type 1. However, considering that you're only shooting 2 units of levemir per day to cover your basal, I'd almost wonder if you're not technically a…"
