I sent you a message Rachel...but I want to underline, so to speak, the importance of not worrying (yes, I know...easier said than done!!!)...but give it up!! Rest in the knowledge that we care, we love you...and that we are praying for you!
All you have to do is....get well. And get back (here, on tu.) as soon as you can!!!

Usually I'll welcome people and say we are here for them but I read your blog first. So I'm leaving you in my prayers very deeply. I really hope you get to a woman's shelter and make some things happen your way. And not someone's slave.

Get back with us. Patti

Welcome Rachel! I'm very glad that you found this community!!

Let us know how the trip to the ER went! It does sounds like you are more likely to be type 1. If you are experiencing DKA, then it is highly likely that your body is producing almost no insulin. Once you get your insulin doses set correctly with an endocrinologist, you will be amazed at how much more energy you feel! I was exhausted for months before my diagnosis!

I was diagnosed with type 1 at age 21. More and more adults are being diagnosed.
