"I didn't give it a thought at all.. But thanks for reminding me to change the time on my pump. If my blood sugar is a little high or low because of the time change and the basal rates, I will just adjust as I go for the next couple of days"

Go to get something out of the fridge and see there is something red on the refrigerator handle.. Wonder what it is and realize it is blood. Must have been my finger was still bleeding after I checked my blood sugar and it got all over the fridge handle..

These are my thoughts on diabetes today


1. I brought in a greek yogurt with caramel for a co-worker to try. It was 10am when I gave it to her. She opened it up right away, put a spoon in and ate it. My jaw almost dropped to the floor. She didn't test her blood sugar, she didn't bolus, she didn't think about what she ate for breakfast and what she is going to eat for lunch. She didn't think how many carbs the yogurt was or how it was going to affect her blood sugar. She just…

Saw my endo on Monday and he marked on the check out slip.. Type 1 diabetes uncontrolled not Type 1 diabetes controlled

I was very upset about this as I left the office. My A1C was 7.8.. It was 8.3 last time.. Going in the right direction, but needs to get better.


I am trying very hard to lose weight, eat better, exercise. I have to get my A1C down.. Next appointment is in July. I hope to lose 10 lbs by then and have my A1C down to 7.0.


I have two children (7 and 9) who need their mother very much and my husband would be lost without…
