Hey Reed! Great to hear from you! I may look and act young but am overly well seasoned in diabetes and psych. I try always to not know more thatn the person whom I am interacting with simply as it alows me to listen better. I am honored you researched me and found something positive. I see much of my life mission as to pass on what has worked for me in the hopes it may help others. I am always open to others input. That's what is so exciting about tudiabetes! I am so certain we will do muich in the future to help others. Isn't that awesome!

Hi Reed: :)

I apologize. I was lost, now I'm found. :) Thank you...I'm blushing but that photo is 4 years old. I've gotten older. I believe my jowls have dropped. I can't believe I've said that. Ummmm....Yes, I can. :D

No, that Little Girl is not my Daughter. She is one of my Nieces. Yes, she is a Beautiful Girl especially now. I just like that photo. I tried to put a new photo in my profile about 6 mths. ago but it wants jpegs. My other photos say they are jpegs but this program doesn't think so. :)

Hey Psychology, Great field. I took the Introductory course in High School. I really enjoyed it. I also took a course of it while I was in Nursing College.
Yes, it is Nice to help People.

Have a Terrific New Year's eve and Year...2009.

Thanks Reed! I appreciate your perspective. As sooon as I think I know it I realize I don't I am most turned off by "know it all's" and just seek to be understanding and empathic towards all. I am aware I have the most difficult time in this with those who seem to be full of themselves. I am working on this by facing every day with a joyful thankful heart and mind. I am so thankful for this group and you as a new friend! Hope all's well down in Portland!

You were right in two ways. I do have two daughters adopted from China, but we have also spent time the last two summers working in an orphanage in China. We go with a group called Visiting Orphans. I have found that focusing on others makes my issues seem small:) I am so fortunate to have a loving family and a job I enjoy (I'm a teacher). After becoming a diabetic, my prayer to God was to use me to help others, and he certainly has!
