RobAW replied to dishers's discussion 'Temp Basal issue' in the group OmniPod Users
"What is your Bolus Increment? My guess is, if it is set to 0.10, and you were trying to temp increase it by .05 as a result of the calculation, perhaps it's calculated value is less than your minimum bolus increment. Perhaps try to change your…"

RobAW replied to joey's discussion 'getting ready for summer' in the group OmniPod Users
"Personally, I do nothing different over the summer. It's business as usual for me. I guess I'm s active (or not, lol) in the winter as the summer so things stay pretty much the same."

RobAW commented on Mathew's group 'OmniPod Users'
"Ok, so this may sound really dumb, but I've been saying this for years and the Dr's think I'm nuts. It does happen to me on a fairly regular basis. It's almost like I'm on some kind of a cycle. I will go three weeks or so…"

RobAW replied to Christine's discussion 'Pod placement on thin people' in the group OmniPod Users
"Lol, good for you Christine. Glad you gave it a try. Since I never used that spot for MDI, I find it's quite a consistent area as well for absorption - nothing but(t) good using that spot (sorry, bad pun)."

RobAW replied to Christine's discussion 'Pod placement on thin people' in the group OmniPod Users
"Nope, it is actually just out of the way, driving is not an issue at all. Mine is usually just off to the right or left towards my side a little bit. You do need to be a bit careful going into the car seat, just so you don't put weight on it…"

RobAW replied to Chas's discussion 'Omnipod trial' in the group OmniPod Users
"I've been through U.S. and Cdn airports with no trouble, I mention I'm wearing a pump and they usually don't even want to see it. Did ask New to go through the full body scanner one, no problems. Pdm goes through xray a, I put it…"

RobAW replied to Christine's discussion 'Pod placement on thin people' in the group OmniPod Users
"I'm thin as well and use all of the spots recommended by Insulet with a high degree of success. TmoeZ's suggestion is a particularly good one for me as I never injected much there when on MDI. Arms are still the fave though, the pod just…"

RobAW replied to Bar/Bruno's discussion 'Omnipod or Animas Ping' in the group OmniPod Users
"Oh, and the pod has some kind of money back guarantee. If you don't like it, give it back and go with the other. But you won't go back."

RobAW replied to Bar/Bruno's discussion 'Omnipod or Animas Ping' in the group OmniPod Users
"I would not use anything but the pod either. Nothing is perfect, but for me, this is as close to being non diabetic as it's going to get. For now, anyway. Love the no tubing, and wouldn't use anything but."

RobAW replied to meh_mtl's discussion 'OH Canada, I got my letter' in the group OmniPod Users

RobAW replied to meh_mtl's discussion 'OH Canada, I got my letter' in the group OmniPod Users

Thank you all for the wishes. It's hard to imagine another year has gone by so quickly, and as the numbers grow higher, so does the speed at which birthdays seem to arrive. I appreciate the kind words. Rob
