RobAW replied to Scott A's discussion 'Newbie question...so how close do you keep your PDM to the pump during the day?' in the group OmniPod Users
"Mine sits on my desk all day when I'm nowhere near it. Like others have said, doesn't need to be near you until you want to bolus or change a pod or for things like suspending. I often will start a bolus, then once the clicking starts,…"

RobAW replied to Jean's discussion 'Decisions, Decisions???' in the group OmniPod Users
"I have never had to remove it at airports, I just tell them I am wearing a pump, and they look at it, and let me though - so far anyway. I've heard the odd person having troubles with the wireless PDM and leaving it on, but I leave mine on and…"

RobAW replied to Jim's discussion 'New pod failures' in the group OmniPod Users
"Not a great start for sure. Hopefully you get them all out of your system up front, lol. I did get my first priming error last week. I hope its a strange coincidence. PLease keep us informed, and hopefully things get better from here. Not sure when…"

RobAW replied to cat's discussion 'bad absorption in all the right places :(' in the group OmniPod Users

RobAW replied to Stress's discussion 'PDM Failure' in the group OmniPod Users

RobAW replied to Stress's discussion 'PDM Failure' in the group OmniPod Users
"I'm happy you got it going again. Strangely, after a year and a few months, my PDM failed me last week. I got a message to replace the batteries, and when I did, bang - error. The pod deactivated, I had to reset the date and time, then I had to…"

RobAW replied to CyNdyM's discussion 'Extended bolus' in the group OmniPod Users
"Certainly a legit question. I don't use it a lot, but find it very useful if I am eating steak or roast beef. For me, I've always gone low quickly, then a few hours later, gone really high. I take 50% right away if Im eating something like…"

RobAW replied to Tracy's discussion 'Are there any T1 happy with Omnipod?' in the group OmniPod Users

Thank you all for the wishes. It's hard to imagine another year has gone by so quickly, and as the numbers grow higher, so does the speed at which birthdays seem to arrive. I appreciate the kind words. Rob
