"I have been on the pod 2 years now in May. I used to take about 4 to five shots a day before the pod.
I have had some failures, a couple of occlussion's and I had one batch that I had 8 fail the
pre test segment. But I called Insulet and they…"
"Omnipod was the best decision I have ever made for treating my diabetes. Yes it was a struggle for the first month or so when I first started in Dec 2009 but now that I have my pod "dialed in" I am very happy with it.
I did not even…"
"Only sometimes when I am using my leg does the pod ever tend to not stick as well. The edges comesup slightly. And recently this has not been happening on my leg so i think it may be my soap that I was using. Try switching brands next time and see…"
"Just wanted to say that its been just over a month, and I am absolutely head over heels in LOVE with my Omnipod! It was frustrating at first, but I think I am getting the hang of it! My A1C before I started my omnipod was 8.2ish and just in the last…"
"I've done it on day two with no problems 3 or 4 times but try not to. It depends on how low I am on Humalog. I would definitely not do it in the summer time when the insulin may have gotten a bit hotter while in the pod. To not mix with the…"
"I LOVE, no ADORE my omnipod! I love the aspect of no tubing, which is why the omnipod was the only pump made for me! I love that I can barely ever feel it (and when it's on my lower back, often forget it's there,) and that now that…"
Robin - I read your comment in the "flying thread" - and I wish I could comment there - but I've created enough annoyment with Dave - so I'll just say here - that's what I've always thought of. A terrorist if they really want to be nasty, God knows what could be in those vials, or that pump infusion that "looks" like they're infusing. So, keeping this off the board, and it's just between vous et moi! BTW, you are lucky, Omnipod wearer! I just tried out the demo of the Solo, never had a demo of Omnipod. Despite it not having any insulin, it felt so cool not to have tubing, etc. One day, Canada will have Omnipod/Solo OR there will be a cure for D - and we won't have to bother with our legal liquid addiction!
Take care and stay healthy (oh and safe flying).
