I just realized you live in Utah...we live in Idaho and drive 3 hours to go to the Diabetes Center in Salt Lake. They have really good classes for diabetics and their families.

I was told that the best book for people who want to learn about insulin pumps is "Pumping Insulin" by Walsh & Roberts. I actually bought this book and it arrived a couple days ago, but the UPS guy put it in our garage and my dogs got to it before I did (my shepherd likes to chew things up; I'm about ready to skin her alive). I've been skimming through what's left of the book while waiting for my replacement to come from Amazon.

Hi there! you just joined Monday? Was one of your daughters just diagnosed? Let me know if you have any questions because I'm in the process of writing a Q&A book on parenting T1D children so it would be good to hear what other parents want to know... and oh boy, after almost a year of dealing with this, I am having trouble remembering what it was like to still be in the transition phase.

If you're stressed, worried, confused, we've been there, and we're all happy to help, just ask!
