"I wear mine in the water; however, when I work out I leave it in the locker in a zip lock bag. I have never used the cap and never had a problem. I just toss the two per box "caps" that come in the infusion boxes. I used one the first time…"

Animas, Dexcom Cruising?

Hey folks. I've been a T1 for 55 years, yes longer than many of you all are old and still in great health. However, I have never been on a cruise and the wife and I leave on a Royal Caribbean one next week.Any experienced T1 cruisers, with pumps and Dexcoms out there that could offer any tips? I have already requested refrigeration to keep insulin in and have no idea if they just cart it away or have one in room. Thanks for anything you can offer.See More

Hi Ron, hope you are doing good. Are you into research, if so, what kind of? Do you work in a University by any chance?

My name is Marie and I just read your comment about not being scared of all the bad stories It feels so good when I come across people like you who are not treating diabetes like it's a death sentence cause I have been a diabetic since 10 and I just turned 32 on Saturday and I am proud to say that I have always had that altitude where I have taken care of my diabetes and have had some bad numbers along the way but I am in excelent health and do not have any complications at this point , but if the day comes that something does happen I just hope that it's when I'm married cause at the moment I am a single mom of a 4 year old and my worst fear is that if I do ever get sick I'll be alone and have no one to help me
