My First Endo Appointment since my Diagnosis 5.6 from 10.7

Posted on November 13, 2008 at 9:35am 5 Comments

I had my first endo appointment yesterday and found out that my A1c went from 10.7 to 5.6 from July 18th to Nov.12 Everyone was shocked and they asked me if I am ready for the pump. I have decided to think about it and they gave me some info but, I am going to stick with shots for now. I took info on the minimed and omnipod. Thanks to all those who have answered all my questions and all of the forums thus far. I could not have done it all without the support of my family and my TuDiabetes… Continue

Beat you to the punch on recommending the Target meter to Dean (Imed him a day or two ago about it)... One of my favorites since its still full featured for its price... Software is actually nice.. like some of its reports better than OT... have you been to the wavesense forum on TU? Its also the same physical meter as the Presto, but still havent doubly confirmed if the strips are compatible. (they arent for the Jazz, but then again they have different contacts for their premium meter)

Ron:

Saw your note about a case for your insulin pen. What kind? I have a half of a ton of them for NovoPen. Would be deliriously happy to send you one. Make me a friend and send me your address in a private message or call me or whatever.
