So, I am either cranky, I cry, or I am the "Fun Tanya". I stopped off at Mc Donalds one day b/c I didn't have anything for my low BS. So I ordered and paid for my OJ. It took over 5 minutes, so I went and asked them how long it would be. As I was...

Been diabetic since 1953. I have been extremely fortunate according to my Endo. and the Dr's. at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. By this I'm referring to the fact that so far I have had no complcations. I take care of my sugar but even this is c...

To me it is ore stessful! I guess I've gotten to where those bubble baths alone with your own thinking has helped me out alot!!!! It even got more stressful after the girls were born! I don't work and didn't when my kids were little and I will tell you another thing I take pride in seeing everyday and that's watching the sun rise and set! I've found that the little things that we get to do eachday is great...........I mean like breath just think how hard your heart works to beat each time! That means your still alive and like my grandma said it means your still here to drive someone up a wall for just one more minute, day, you get the idea!

Hi Ruchika, thanks for adding me!! I think you are my first international friend with T1, so I'm so glad to "meet" you! :)
I get Google alerts about T1 every day, just to keep up with the news & research, and I see news stories very frequently on how common diabetes is in India. Seems like T1 is on the rise over there these days? It's really interesting. I hope you get good medical care over there.
Thanks again for adding me and welcome to TuD!
Katie I. :)

Do you know wheather or not you can have kids yet? If not then tell these bozos out there that yes as far as you know you can have children but it would require you get your bs under control for 6 months BEFORE you decide to get pg and then you would have to have tight control all threw your pregnacy..............Now for what me and my daughter did...........Neither of us had tight control when we got pg........in fact I don't know if I said it or not but I was told I would never be able to have kids no left overy or tubes kidney anything over on that side but I did have a right one! SURPRISE!!!!! AS for my daughter both of her pregancies were not planned but she still managed to get pg once before marriage the 2nd time about 9 months after (that's what they get for not using protection HA) they had their 1st and had been married for about 11 months! So NEVER give up it can and probably will happen about the time you give up on it ever happing to you! Or atleast that's what it done to me! After my husband being tested to see if he was shooting blanks which they told him he was! I guess when we took the stress off of ourselves other things took over! HA!!!

Hey Girl,

Don't you give up yet!!!! You know over here most of our marriages that happen when we're in our teens or early twenties don't work out so good anyway! At around 35 is when they seem to hold together tighter! I know ppl over there think your tainted goods but over here most of those men out there love you for who you are not what you are or how good in health their children will be!!!! I used to feel bad about myself but now they can take me or leave me!!! I was just one of the lucky ones.......I married a man whos mom was a Type 2 and we now have a grown Type 1 daughter ourselves!!!! He loves us all!!!!! That's with the good the bad and the ugly side of diabetes! I'll bet your guys out there looking for you just like your looking for him! Chin up girl you can do this!!!!!!!!
