Can I ask why you take lantus at 6 pm? I'm also recently diagnosed and still honeymoning (aug 29, 2008). I used to not take lantus at all because I didn't really need it (or so I thought). But I realized its importance in prolonging my honeymoon p...

Congrats on the 5.5! And constant mid 80s before meals? I'm getting jealous again. ;) I thought the whole thing of the after-meal testing was about finding out how much you sugar spikes after meals, but I still don't know how to know when it does ...

Congrats on lowering your A1c and getting under 7. Yeah, you have to be careful when measuring after meals because it may artificially inflate your average. and keep in mind that the insulin works for 4 hours so even after testing after 2 hours, y...

I also calculated the average of my bg today, because I can't wait to get my A1c results (which I will do in about 2 weeks). So average of the last 6 weeks is 133 with a standard deviation of 61. So I really cannot compete with your values (strang...

Averages

I've been really tracking my numbers lately. I've been keeping up with my running, usually 12 miles or so a week. I try to run 3 miles each time I am out and walk once a week also, usually for 4-6 miles. I play softball twice a week.
