That is a good idea, using Skin Tac for Princess stickies, but did you read below? Yikes! Guess it would work if you then washed off Skin Tac residue with soap and water. Winter is coming and this is the time of year I miss San Fran, LOL. Used to ...

This is great!! I also use the unisolve wipes to remove those temporary tattoos that kids love.

THis is why I love this site. You can talk about everything from insurance to goo-dissolver here.

Oh - that's awful :(. Good advice Melissa. I used Skin Tac for Caleb's mustache (old time sheriff costume). :)

Be careful, though. I thought it would be the perfect "goo gone" treatment for the price-tag stickum left on the bottom of three ceramic vases we bought at a furniture store last month...until I sat the vases on my six month old coffee table and i...

OMG! I'm so happy to discover that uni-solve (the pad we use to remove the skintac from Abbie's inset area) works to remove that annoying sticky stuff that the price tag leaves on dishes and glasses. (Not to mention that we've used the skin-tac t...

I personally don't believe that there is any real danger from the vaccinations. Having talked to many people both in health care and not and on both sides of the issue. My view is that I should do anything I can do to lessen the chance of Abbie (...

We take a similar approach. Since Abbie's only ever had ketones when she's sick, we only test if she's had several high readings in a row, or a high that we have a hard time getting down. And even those are negative or trace. At school, because k...

rats! wish I had seen this before ordering. Just ordered the kids hot pink one for my daughter. The pouch she has now bounces around to much when she's playing soccer. hope it works!

WHat a great story. Thanks for sharing.

we've used Emla, but our current prescription service sends us a generic that is a lidocaine/prilocaine mix. When we started on the pump last April, we did the first couple of set changes w/o the cream and it was tears and pain. With the cream (wh...

You are awesome! A common thread for parents and then down the road for their diabetic children is rebellion, why me, why this today! You should be incredibly proud of yourself. You are setting the tone that will show Abbie that her diabetes care ...

Love it!! What numbing cream do you use? I've been thinking of this for my little one's pump changes..

Abbie woke up this morning with some blood in her set, so we needed to do a set change before school. Really hustled, numbing cream, got all the supplies together, new cartridge filled, pump loaded and primed, new site cleaned and while waiting fo...

I'd complain to your sales rep...all that stuff came with our ping and should be included with yours.

Hi SF MAMA,

I am also a member of this group and a Type 1 Diabetic. I thought you might be interested in meeting other Type 1s and wanted to let you know that I am the organizer of a meetup group called G.A.T.E.-Gastroparesis And Type1 Diabetes Exchange.

It is for Type 1s as well as for those with Gastroparesis and their caregivers. You can have either condition separately and don't need to have both to join. It is a support and activities group for people with similar conditions to interact, network, participate in discussions, ask questions, share experiences, or to vent frustrations. I will also have guest speakers periodically.

This is a new group that will meet in Union City on the third Sunday of each month starting May 17. If you would like to learn more, please check us out

G.A.T.E. website:
http://www.meetup.com/Type1Diabetes-GP-SupportGroup/

I hope you will consider joining us for a future meeting.

Thanks,
Margaret

Hi and welcome! Thank you for the show and tell idea. How in-depth are you able to get with little kids about what diabetes is?
