What type of pen do you use - and what type of pen needle do you use?

I currently use Humalog cartridges, the BD pen needle 5mm, and the Luxura pen. I have to switch to Novolog and I received a NovoPen Junior (that also does 1/2 unit doses). But I was given samples of pen needles called NovoTwist 32G tip. Can I use the older BD penneedles with the Novopen Junior? Thanks,See More

Any tips from users of the Zone diet, especially type 1 users?

Posted on July 24, 2010 at 11:35am 0 Comments

I am seriously looking at the Zone diet to get my diabetes under more even glucose control, and for weight loss.

I think I understand the Zone block lists I see at the website www.zonediets.com, but will have to sit down and look up what each of these should be as far as carbs that I would bolus for.

Any tips anyone can give me as a newbie starting out?

Does having reactions knock you out of the…

Hello Spicysmom,

Being that individual coverage may vary, you need to contact your provider directly to see what they will or will not cover the software. If they do cover it, you will most likely need a script.

As for the differences, here is the response from the product manager:

The two software programs contain pretty much the same reports, however the 360 reports have more features and detail. Here are the main differences between the two ACCU-CHEK software products:

ACCU-CHEK 360 Kit
-install software onto computer
-install CD and USB cable used for downloading
-can download and save glucose readings, health records
-can print, fax, or email reports

ACCU-CHEK Smart Pix device reader
-no installation required
-only contains the cable with device reader attached, software is part of the device
-can download glucose readings, not able to save any information – all information is cleared from software after browser window
-can print reports

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me or call 800-858-8072 and select the software option.

As always, you can also email me direct at rob.muller@roche.com .

Have a good weekend.

Kind regards,
Rob

Spicy is TCFW. I've heard that ferrets like electrical cords. My partner had one years ago and the little bugger would get to cords before they realized it. He was very clever apparently.
