how are ya?
Glad to hear that you are on insurance!

Happy Birthday to you SteveThere are a number of requirements to becoming a certified diabetes educator. First one must be a healthcare worker such as a pharmacist, RN, Dietitian, Physical Therapists or Nurse Practitioner. Then while employed as a diabetes educator one must accumulate 1000 hours of face to face diabetes self management education to people with diabetes. Then one may apply to take the certification test that is offered only two times a year. If you qualify and pass the test, you may then be a certified diabetes educator. Hope that was what you were looking for in an answer. Thanks for asking.
