After re-reading your blog post I wanted to add a few things. I really don't think a blood sugar of169 would cause hallucinations. I think it can be normal for someone with a perfectly working pancreas to get that high after a high carb meal. To ...

Hey Crystal, I am curious. Has she tested positive for Type 1 diabetes (as in she has the antibodies) or are they saying it is Cystic Fibrosis related? Because they are two totally different things... well, there are a lot of differences I should ...

Things have been ok.Her doc added an insulin to a one day regulatory shot and to use the other insulin only if she goes high.So far so good. She is staying in the 140s.

ok so i want to thankyou first and foremost for your response to my posts.i read them over carefully and collected the answers to your questions.i will do my best to go in order of the events and tests.
july 1:fasted for her glucose test
july 2:went to doc for glucose test.prior to drinking the "nasty orange stuff" she was at a 93.after one hour it was 247 and after the second hour she was at 185.these numbers combined with a weight loss of six pounds in three months(95 down to 89) lead her doc to believe she was diabetic but did not specify entirely if it was type 1 or cfrd.
july 13:she wasgiven her tester and insulin, which now into day five still have not used a single unit of insulin.
she does go to cf specialist by the name of dr.dairi (not sure on the spelling) and he is located out of the U of L Health Center in downtown louisville,ky.she also sees and endo by the name of dr.chennuholta (probably spelled wrong as well) and he is located out of the st.marys medical center also in louisville,ky.
i also compiled a list of her meds for you as well:
advair...actonel...over the counter multi-vitamin...a generic form of claratin 10mg...zithromax...over the counter vitamin d...tri-nessa...pancrease mt20...pulmozyme and tobi
she was given a novolog flexpen for her insulin.
i hope this info will be useful.you have truly been a blessing.

Hi Lady, I wanted to tell you something good.
My weight is up 4 pounds whoohoo! Those almonds are helping tons thanks so much. I am still having so much problems with meat so I am looking at my old diet which made my tummy happy and just a 2 hour BG spike instead of the 4 hour I get with meat. I am gonna see what I can tweak now that I have some breathing room the 4 pounds have given me. 4 More and I am back to my safe and can have a sick day weight.
Be loved and thanks so much for your advice

HAHA yes the back of the arm. I have a wiggle I got at 41 but its an empty wiggle!

I had trouble with the infusions sets also I switched to the 6mm sure T it is helping I can even angle it if I need to, but i tend to use the bent needle for angle shallow sites. The needles work so much better me then the plastic cannula I always blow them not enough fat tissue to hold them so they bump up against un-fat stuff :)

I have to stay way from my stomach endo's orders so I am gonna try around my hips. I just seem to bump it there alot.

Anyway email me your phone we can chat...or if you have gmail we can chat also.
:)
Be loved

I was giving myself shots at least 4 times a day plus had a pretty dramatic swing in highs/lows. The pump has helped me stabilize things a bit. I'm glad it's working well for you too. I'm in the process of implementing a GGM for my treatment. What do you think of yours? ...... Thanks Sweet & Salty :)
