I'll be traveling to Seattle, WA in the coming week from California with very little money and I'm not too familiar with Washington. I'm trying to find free or cheap places to sleep. Does anyone want to make some new friends? Could you let us couch surf? Me and my husband are very open minded, friendly, fun. We will be forever grateful. We are leaving on the greyhound bus on December 2nd. I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was 9 years old..taking lots of insulin along with me. Also, any recommendations on places we should visit? Thanks
-Marilyn

I'm in Portland right now. We traveled slowly yesterday, before the heaviest part of the snow. We're supposed to head to K. Falls tomorrow, but right now we can't even get out of my parents driveway, as there is a thick layer of ice over the snow! Drive safely.
