Joe, when you check your sugar and it sais confirm to remind in 2hrs what you can do is to go up to the time and then hit ok THEN change it to 0 if you don't want the reminder or you can go up or down to get anywhere from 0 to 4hr reminders and it...

What??? My other pump had all the numbers in and put the time wiht it and all. I'm not sure what you meant by the post. What irritates me is that you can't get ALL the info on one report. I haven't played with it enough but that means I have to ma...

The good thing about keeping them on the meter, is that you can label the reading with time of day, and other info,so that you can pull all kinds of graphs and averages. Plus you can see all your pump stats when your pump is um.. a little hard to ...

Joe, thanks for the reply. That's what I've been doing and just keeping the bolus at 0000. It still doesn't load thought. I love the ping though to be honest so I'll just get used to it.

HI Sandy... I've only been pumping for 3yrs and 8 months, but I can understand your frustration. I switcherd to a Ping after Smths Medical quit making the Cozmo (a shame). Like you, I find it frustrating that you can't call up your BG's on the pum...

I spoke to them and figured out that it's all the meter and not the pump. Just something I need to get used to I guess. So you download both and it intergrades them I guess... I love the pump and LOVE the screen so I'm sure I'll get used to this l...

HELP... does the pump not display your numbers? How do you know it saved it? I love the animas sofar but not sure I would have chosen it knowing it doesn't show your numbers. This is something I'll have to get used to for sure.

Hello there. I got my Ping about a wk ago and haven't even heard from Animas yet. I've contacted them a few days ago and still nothing. I decided to go through all the info and hook up myself. Been pumping for 15yrs now so I really didn't think mu...

I have had my Cozmo only since July, so I'm not even done with my first year on it. So right now, I'm thinking I'll stick with it until my warranty is up, but I may be the last person still on one by then! *laughs* I am really torn. I think since...

I would go pink. I had a blue Minimed for 4 years, so when I got a Cozmo, I decided to be a grown-up and went with black. I've regretted going so plain now though. Should have gone with the green, I keep telling myself. So if I were you, I'd go fo...

That is an excellent idea, there are also charities such as ipump.org that can take certain unopened supplies.

Hi Sandy. Got your message. As far as I know, there is no way to look at glucose readings with the pump. You'll have to use the meter. Also you can only use the food data base with the meter, not the pump.

Hi Sandy

If the said supplies are dispensed by a doctor's prescription, it is against federal law for them to be given to any other person. Therefore, any posts of that type would be deleted.

Make sense?

Also I've only had 4 failures since I started in early December. Each time I called insulet and told them what happened and the serial numbers and they replaced all of them.

I had bad scar tissue on my stomach from my MM pump so I don't use that area for sites right now. I love useing my lower back and arms. I found my legs didn't absorb as well so I haven't used them as much anymore. I do stack boluses and have not had any lows from that. Usually the only time I have lows is when I over estimate food or forget to use a temp basal when I work out. I had a bad low during the night this last week when I over estimated a late dinner. I really love the pods I had a lot of problems inserting infusion sets for my MM pump. Since the Pods insert themselves it has been the best thing ever. If other pumps had self inserting devices I may consider that in the future, but so far the omnipod is the only one that does. It is way easy to set up too. You inject your insulin into the pod, it primes, you place it on your body making sure the adhesive is on all around the pod then you pince your skin up and press start and it inserts! If you have any other questions feel free to ask away!! Hope you are having a good sunday!

Thank you very much. Anyone that can give me some hints or tips or warnings or praises about the OmniPod is welcome to do so. I'm thinking about changing over with the offer they have going right now. I looked at the Animas 2020 as well but they want 900 for a refurbished one and that is too much. Thanks

Went with Animas

I'm excited about ordering the Animas Ping tomorrow. I am still debating what color though. Black, green or pink. Decisions are not easy specially when they don't really matter. :o)

Thank you to every one that gave me tips and replied to all my questions. This site is awsome.

To Pod or not to Pod

I really would like to try the Pod to see if I would like it. I've read a lot of bad reviews on it though and wonder about that. I know from first hand exp that I usually don't post unless I'm unhappy so all the good stories you don't really get that much.

I'm hoping that I can have a trial run before I have to make up my mind and see how I would like it, sleep with it, just live with it in general. I've been on a DIABETIC BURN OUT streak for the last 3years now and don't really know how to pul… Continue
