Hi Sandy: Re pods, I have a hot tub which I use pretty much daily for arthritis conditions. The Omni cant go in the hot tub, so sites would be limited.

I made some good progress with tuning my basal profile. I've managed to sort out most of the morning and afternoon. I still need to have a good go at night.
I've had the last couple of days off though as I've been not so much busy but really stressed. One of those things at are completely out of your control and that you can influence. No fun that's for sure. My blood glucose level wouldn't come down yesterday from the high teens (in mmol/L, which is equivalent to 270-360mg/dL). I might blog about it later.
How are you? Did you have a bit of go/look at your basal profile?
Oh and also I played around in excel and I think there is a way that you can just put in how much your blood glucose changed and get it to recommend a change to your basal. More playing/coding to get it to work in full (yet another thing I could blog about).

That is hilarious about the bomb squad! I almost spit coffee on my computer. I have a friend who is on a Ping and loves it, she thinks my Pod is "Giant". We have fun going back and forth about whose is better.

MM Revel. Ive tried the Pod and most experiances were bad so Ive been going back and forth for a little while. Im done with it now.

Hey Sandy! Thanks for asking... I spoke to my dr about it and he will work w/ the Omnipod, said he prefers MM or one other but he does have a few patients that use the pod. So I wore the trial pod for a few days and loved it. Hardly remembered I was wearing it! So I've started the ordering process with my ins co. and the contracted co. they use for supplies. Just playing the waiting game for now... Hope to hear something next week. Again, thanks for your feedback and I will let you know how I like the pod if all comes together financially!

Sweet. I'm checking my basal and thought that I'd better change my site because it was a little old and I didn't want all my efforts of starvation to go to waste. At least I can be fairly comfortable that the 1 unit won't have much of an effect. Thanks.

That's very cool that you have donated your old pumps. Very cool.
Yeah the only alarms I get are when the pump is worried about itself. No alarms to tell me what to do to manage my D.
Questions: Do you prime your cannula when you put a new one in? I push 1 unit through a new cannula. Or should I not bother?

We're a bit backward down here in NZ. Not in everything though. I think Roche may have brought Disetronic out of something. My pump has a factory date of sometime in 2010.
