"A fanny pack would work equally as well. Just make sure that you've got whatever's in it in waterproof baggies. Love the attitude - and agree about the dancing! A little bit of ABBA would go a long way :) You'll have a ball.…"

hello sandy, im Emily and im doing a mud race at the end of this month. ive never done one before and am really excited, training and getting ready. ive been to some websites to look at training plans and all that but am relying on the tuD people to help me figure out how to carry my gear while I do this!

its a five k mud run in south Carolina so its gonna be hot! I am on mdi so my spectator will carry my insulin pen in case I need to shoot up afterwards if im high. my problem is my meter and strips and gluscose tabs. did you have your meter on you when you did your race. I am aware of my hypos but doing something like this makes me want to have my meter. one time last year I was running and thought I was high cuz I felt nauseous and I stopped to check and I was at 40, so having meter with me I can just double check.

any info and advice you have-D related or not-would be a real help! did you enjoy your mud rn? would you do it again?

Welcome to the family! On this forum you will learn so much. Most of all you will learn that you are not alone. Everyone here is supportive and will provide answers to your questions. Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
