Weird day

I ate and ate and ate and ate, and could not keep up with my exercise today. I drank half a bear of honey, cut my basal down and still could not make my BS stop being low. Tomorrow of course if I did all the same exercise, ate the same and took the same insulin I would be 450.

Omnipod fun

Pod not giving me insulin, urgh 4th pod failure since I started. I did whack it today pretty hard with the barbell, maybe it is mad at me for that.

Hi Sarah

I have had wierd days like that many times, plus since I got on the pump, had to fight to get my BG up more than a few times.
I useally will juice myself up to about 160 then do the tread mill and excersize, thenit works out pretty good, but sometimes I will juice up, excersize and the Bg will rebound, carzy stuff.

hope you got it back inline so you can rest tonight. (Half a bear of honey, damn I remebr thouse days YUCH!)

I wish you well

Robert

Hey Sarah - Welcome to TuDiabetes! Hopefully in 1989 -- Februry 14 wasn't Valentines Day (or is Valentine's Day *always* February 14th?) This is why I'm on the welcoming committee and not a Calendar maker. I'm terrible with calendar affairs -- but I'm great with diabetes-related issues :) Welcome to the community!! :) When you get a chance -- upload a photo of anything you'd like on your profile. Make yourself at home ;)

Hey Sarah - I see you already made it to the Great Lakes Group! It's fun to know who our neighbors are. I live in Minneapolis.
Welcome to Tu Diabetes.

I'm double posting my reply to your comment:
1. No. I sometimes cut it the day before and the day of. I expect Lantus to stop affecting my blood sugar about 30 hours after I inject it, so I'm lowering both of the doses that really affect that day, but that's it. I would lower the previous day's dose a little bit, and that day's dose dramatically.
2. Last year I had major memory problems that I think were from hypoglycemia, but I was also under other major stress. The memory problems went away. I currently test in the 30s about twice per month, but I have yet to lose consciousness.
3. I'm still growing and athletic, so I'm not much worried about the possibility of being overweight, but my BMI is 22
