Hi Sarah

I know it's a bit of a drive, but I'll be in New Canaan next Sunday at the Bike the Miles ride. Maybe I'll see you there.

I'm secretly hoping there'll be a huge screaming crowd of folks with diabetes cheering all the riders as we swing in around noon on Sunday. Maybe I'll see you there?

No, I was not in dka. It was just because my blood sugar was high (it was 567, not as bad as a lot of other people). I think I had some ketones, but not enough to be in dka- they didnt even put an IV in me while I was in the hospital. I still get very thirsty when my bg is high even if I don't have ketones at all.

If your Spanish is THIS good with only 4 months in Spain, I can only imagine if you had been there like a year: that is pretty cool. "Viví en Madrid" was the only thing I found to correct.

I am sorry to hear about your aunt. Hopefully your cousins can find the site useful too: tell 'em to come over!
