It's a really cool device. The rumor is that they are working with Animas and Omnipod to eventually combine the dex receiver with the pump. I'd love to get one device out of my pocket and still have the same capabilities so I can't wait for those devices to start coming out.

Hi, it really depends which company you go with. I strongly suggest you go with Medtronic Minimed. Its good and convenient when you go out and one push and your set to go. Time to time their are many problem with it, for example it gives you no delivery alarm and it can be very annoying. Then you have to change to entire set and start all over. Overall its great but time to time their are many problems that can occur with it too. I don't want to tell you go with it but I suggest you do little more research and read other forum pages to see what other people think or say before you make your decision. I hope I helped a little, if you have any more questions or concerns, please write back anytime and I will be more than happy to help you.

Hey! I've been on the omnipod for two weeks and am in love! It's amazing how much of a difference it makes in the way I view diabetes. It's also great because of not having a tube. I have only had one pod failure in the 7-8 times I've changed the pod. So I'm happy with it =) The tech support is amazing as well...hope that helped a little!
