When things go wrong, they go wrong

Forty-five minutes into the book talk Arden's CGM was going nuts. Her BG was now rising quickly and the last bolus didn't look like it was going to hold. She tested and we were very aggressive with the next dose, very aggressive.See More

If you read Arden's Day with any frequency you know that we manage Arden's Bgs with text messages while she is in school, at a friend's house and every other time that she isn't in our physical space. I've written how the process has eliminated so many issues, lowered her A1c and making us all to feel more independent are but two. I am genuinely excited to tell you that we…See More

It took over a week before it hit me as to why I liked the movie Gravity so much - because it reminded me of living with type I diabetes, because I am comfortable with jumping from one situation to the next.See More

Thanks so much for taking the time to speak with me for Discuss Diabetes, Scott. The article turned out great! You know how much I enjoyed reading an advanced reader’s copy of your book! I’m eager for my husband, a fellow stay-at-home dad as you know, to read it too!
My best, Laura K.

Hi Scott,

Our Annual Campaign is coming!

Would you consider helping by writing a short comment/testimonial about your
experiences at TuD? The main message for the campaign this year is that no
one with diabetes should ever feel alone. Messages from our community give
people a real-life, personal sense of how valuable TuDiabetes is to each of
us, how it's changed our lives, etc.

If you can, please include a photo of you doing something diabetic (if that
makes sense LOL). Please post to this group
(http://www.tudiabetes.org/group/why-i-participate-in-this-community), or message to me from my page.

Thanks my friends!

Hi Scott, I was responding to Mikes discussion r/e starting the omnipod and was impressed with your comments. You are obviously a great dad and great advocate for type 1. I love seeing positive, proactive parenting on here without all the doom and gloom we are in this for the long hall and need all the support we can get, you inspired me today and arden is a beauty, enjoy her sweet innocence diabetes can't take that. she is so fortunate to feel safe in your loving care. have a great week! amy
