For not being a cheerleader you make me smile quite a lot! ;) Scott, there is sensibility on anything you write, anything you will want to write about will be great... It is fun, but in sense shallow. but you know Oprah will always be a hit *wink

Hi

Hello everyone, esp all the peeps from KC (too bad there's no football here...)

Divorced, with 2 kids, 18 year-old daughter and 17 year-old son. I've been T1 since February, 1970 and things have changed alot. My first meter was about the size of a brick and weighed about that much too...

Human insulins... I took a beef/pork mixture in years the before that came in '83 (?) and still cannot donate blood because I might have mad-cow disease from the beef/pork insulin.

It was finally proven that the long term benefits of tight control of blood sugars vastly outweighed the risks of hypoglycemia

Pumping is good!

Depression and diabetes are linked...

While diabetes is a part of my life, it doesn't control it, some folks wear it on their sleeve, start living life please, the rest of us want a chance to whine some too...

I'm sarcastic, cynical, don't take myself too seriously (neither do my kids, hmmmm), and I'll always tell you the truth, you may not like it, but hey, you asked
