Ping? Is that really the name? Like in the Monty Python film? The expensive machine that goes "ping?"

right now im waiting for them to ship it to me.
there have been some minor problems that have set me back;
but everything should be fixed (hopefully!) by today or monday
and my rep will call me to confirm a delivery date!
once i get it, ill have to wait to schedule an appt with a rep from animas
who will teach me how to use it and then ill be able to get started

too old for pink?? never ;)
haha, you dont know how long it took me to finally decide on a pump color.
its not even THAT serious. but really. haha. to me it felt like the most important decision ever.
i decided to go with the silver; for the same reason as you
it matches the remote/meter.
i like pink, so i considered having a pink pump
i like black, considered as well
i was diagnosed on nov. 14 2007, and nov 14 is also world diabetes day
so i considered getting blue since that is the color for d-day.
i swear it was tougher than deciding what to wear for my senior prom! haha

ANYWAY, did the pump come with any infusion sets?
have you decided which ones you wanted to try?

We lived in the university area for about 5 years and then in the Sardis Road area for about 5 years - we are now in WV - I miss Charlotte - but love it here too! There is a learning curve to the pump - but once you get past all that and understand the importance of really diligent carb counting - you will be fine!

Hey there - we used to live in Charlotte, My DH uses the OmniPod and our DD uses the Animas Ping. We are loving the freedom so far - although she is 8 so your experiences may be different. But she loves no more shots. And I love being able to bolus her without have her stop to take the pump out of her little belly band. We are already seeing much improvement in her control. And she loves the ability to snack whenever she wants!!

Hope you love it!
