There are a lot of people here with cancer, leukemia, prostate cancer, diabetes and we have a lot of deaths in a given year. I do not know if this is tru or not but I was told that if you are disabled you need to go live in an assisted living faci...

I just think it's a shame that this can go on unaddressed and unpunished. I feel sorry that you have to deal with such ignorant, narrow minded people. I think it would be at least worth passing on to an activist group and let them run with the bal...

I forgot to tell you I use the Bayer Contour and love it because it is so dependable. The test strips use just a little blood and like I said in my previous post they mailed me a lancing device to use on my palms instead of my fingers that hurt so...

Call your doctor and ask for that brand sample. The sample should come with some test strips or go to a local Diabetes health fair and get free meters there. But another thing is call the maker of the meter you like and ask for a free one. I calle...

Your insulin pump should have a phone number on the back. You could call them to see if you should suspend your insulin while fasting. Or call your insulin pump educator or doctor who is managing your pump and ask her/him if you should suspend you...

Why don't you put the phone number and names of anyone in charge of the pool and perhaps many of us on this board can call those idiots and give them a LOUD reminder of just how stupid they are? I have a unique way of really getting under their sk...

Wondering what ever happened with all that baloney at your pool. Was that sign you have up as a profile pic put their after all this happened ? How ridiculous undereducated people can be... even if you try to explain.

This picture is my step daughter's picture. I was trying to upload mine and was running a virse protector at the same time and up came her picture. Now I am trying to figure out how to get her pic off and mine on. OOPS!

Just reading up on your thread for your pool problem. I am so hoping that you are one day able to go into the pool without any feelings like you are going thru' now. Do you think it's going to go to court? If it does, I may find away to get a cheap flight down to FL and stand up for you. Wait, what about a few of us - go into the pool - all pump wearers - do a synchronised swim!!!

I've tried that email address of Callaway but couldn't find her site. But I did email a Bill Hammons some Senator in Florida. He won't be the only one that I'll be emailing to. Good luck and keep writing cause this is stuff that needs to be addressed. We should legislate that upon being a property manager you need to be certified on disability rights and issues. Also to be educated in the Diabetes part itself. Write us, patti

They are breaking the law-this absolutely violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. You also need to call an attorney and your local news stations, and ANIMAS! I have a friend who works for them and will forward him your info

Hi there! I feel upset for the way the bureaucracy of the HOA where you live has been harassing you. I live in Kissimmee Fl and an insulin pump user Medtronic 722. I must say; I have never seen what you are going through. I took the liberty to email to jcallaway@abcactionews.com to see if she could investigate. I do not know if my email is going to help or not but I needed to do something to help you some way some how. Hope God gives you the blessing to have this resolve so you can keep focus on you and your health. Keep us inform and take care- Ann

Hi! My name is Windy and I live in Central FL as well. I used to live in Plant City, but I recently relocated to Pinellas County. I am so sorry to read about your struggles with your HOA. I saw that someone suggested to contact Jackie Callaway at ABC Action news. I did a piece for her once and she is a terrific lady, so I second that motion! Her email there is Jcallaway@abcactionews.com I really hope you can make some progress against these bullies and if I can help please let me know. Good luck in your stroke recovery. :)

Hi Shipaddict - love your name - I guess you'd call me a ship addict as well - sailor actually - but I also love cruise ships as well - when I can afford a cruise that is. At least living in Florida you get a discount for going on some of the cruise ships (that's why my sis-in-law in Kissimmee gets). Anyway, glad to see you're on an Animas 2020 - I am too - mine is in blue. Was going to upgrade to a PING - but they want $900 CDN to do that - and I already forked out abit last year when I bought the pump - so my piggy bank is abit empty (ching, ching, ching as I shake it). Take care - and hope you get things sorted out with the community pool business - that sounds right nasty to me!!!
