No Grains is the way to go- I have never had such good control of my BS since I gave up grains life with T1 is easy-

No Grains

I have changed my diet around the start of May 2012 I stopped eatting grains (corn, soy wheat) and it has helped so much- my BS stays around 80-120 if i eat or not-- and now i have a lower basal rate and i am dropping wt. like nothing- give it a try

Here are 2 great sites that have a lot of good info that have really helpped me understand how and why to do this:

Remember to stand back and give yourself credit for doing what you do to keep yourself healthy -- being diabetic is a lot of work, I think I may just be starting to move past the "honeymoon" phase and experiencing for the first time the frustration of unpredictable "all over the place for no reason" readings. We are kind of asked to be superhuman, in my opinion, to try and think like we're our own pancreas, after never really being acquainted with it before! Hang in there...Delete Comment
