I found it on a website called Healthy outcomes. (https://www.healthyoutcomes.com/) I filled out some surveys and chose the meter as a reward. I started looking at the website and found the strips at walmart to be very affordable.

Finally Some Non-Meme Questions

On my quest to learn more about diabetes, I've found that the best source of knowledge comes from someone who is directly affected by it. I continue to learn something new each day, changing my perceptions on something I had no perception of before. Much of what I have discover drives me to want to share with others.

I'm going to start something new on my blog where I ask a range of people one specific question. Each post will feature the… Continue

Word In Your Hand

Well the new Word In Your Hand video just got posted up. It's seriously an honor for me to be given the opportunity to make the music for it. Pictures from this project and Diabetes 365 have helped me visually understand the reality behind diabetes. I hope the music doesn't detract from, but will emphasize, the feelings and emotions behind each word and individual.

A Post about a Blog

This post is actually just to let people know that my actual blog can be found at:
http://whatisdiabetes.blogspot.com

There you'll find out more about who I am and why I am blogging. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to be involved here! I just don't want to be reposting posts all over the place!

Hi I was directed to your page by Ron. I posted a thread about my teen daughter who does not like to write anything down. SHe does test, and we were discussing downloading her numbers to a computer. My issue is that i use only Macs and don't have access to boot camp or parallels. ( I too love your hand btw). He was saying something about yours are compatible with Macs? I am looking at your site, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi I read your post about a free WaveSense Keynote. I was wondering if it is still available and if so where can I get it? Thanks!

Reading the post about Glucometers, I was wondering if they were available in Canada. I have been naive thinking that life scan was the only meter out there for the past 25 years, so I'm interested in trying new things. Please let me know. Mike

I saw your reply about the glucometers. Can you really provide a WaveSense meter at no cost? I'm currently looking for a more accurate meter since I'm having trouble getting my CGM calibrated accurately with my OneTouch meters.

Albert first off I want to say cool photoshop of your hand. Second thank for the reply to my post about consumer reports under glucose meters. The reply made me look at the wavesense site now I want to wait until the jazz with the bluetooth comes out. Being somewhat new to the big D but a long time tech junkie that is some technology that appears to have been a long time coming. I guess I will have to wait till someone out in the midwest starts selling those. That is one of the things I miss the most from the east cost(formerly from NJ).

The Red Sox hat has a very special meaning to me, because it was my dad's and he wore it that first time they won after the Curse of the Bambino, to die shortly thereafter (Jan. 2005) of liver cancer.

I'm not a big fan of baseball, but I held on to it and started wearing again since they won again! :P

Hey Albert! Thanks for adding me :) Now I'm curious -- what biotech company? You don't have to spill it on the public messages but I'm really interested...if you'll tell me ;) Is it a diabetes-related company?
