The "Bon Secours" Health System is Nieither!

Posted on April 3, 2012 at 12:47pm 0 Comments

Living in Richmond, VA, I am subject to using the "Bon Secours" (Good Help) health system, which, unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about. They were great (medically speaking) when I was hospitlized for months after my diabetes - related stroke in 2005, but they are terrible when it comes to administration, especially their finance dept.. I was back in the hospital (another Bon Secours hospital) last year for more sugery (again...diabetes related) and though the surgery went without…

Charlie says the reason he can do the things he does and still survive...He "has Tiger Blood" and the DNA of "Adonnis". I would doubt he could ever live ONE DAY with the crap we put up with! (and I dont clain to have the blood of a jungle animal, or the DNAl of some fictitious goddess).

And WE complain!

Hey Steve -

Hope you are doing well. Saw your post on the OmniPod group site about a back to back pod failure--one during a reservoir fill. I wanted to share with you that I have had back to back to back failures when filling with refrigerated insulin, and zero while filling with room temp insulin. Just wanted to throw that out there in case refrigeration may be a factor for you. Erik

Well, we watched the Vikings screw up (well, I did more than my husband - he'd go fishing, I'd watch football....ha!). I watched the Packers when they were aired here. If they played the same time as the Vikings, only the Vikings game would air. Kinda sucked, as I'd much rather watch the Packers. It's hard watching a team screw up so much (Vikings). Oh well. My step-daughter and cousin are big Packers fans, as well as all of my step brothers. I think we need to change teams....ha!

Yes, she's a Siberian Husky girl. She'll be 10 months old tomorrow. She's actually my son's pup, but I puppy sit while he's at work. My van's warming up now to go pick her up. So I guess she's both of ours....ha! (It's a goofy pic of her.....)

I should change my profile..ha! I just switched from the Ping to the Omnipod. I was getting so sick of tubing and having something clipped to my pocket, I even considered going back to MDIs. I didn't think I could get the Pod because of insurance, but my insurance didn't have a problem with it (I had gotten my second Ping just two years ago - though I had to wait the full 4 years). So, I'm brand new to the Omnipod and just put on my third one today.
