I wear jeans a lot of the time, so I usually clip it to the front pocket of my jeans. I've never gotten a tube hung up on anything. I wrap the tube (23") around my finger to make circles then tuck it in which keeps it in place pretty well.…

At first I just used the belt clip, but then my pump got really banged up and the paint even started to chip (i have the green 2020 pump). I later found out that it was a bad batch of paint and Animas would replace my pump at no charge. Sooo, since…

I have been pumping for about 10 years now. Probably 7 or 8 of them have been with the Animas. I keep my pump in a baby sock in my bra. I get the newborn socks at Kohls. The regular baby socks have too much material left over. The newborn socks work…

Update: I found this link to the perfect solution (for men at least): http://www.mykpp.com/index.html I ordered one pair of the Kangaroo Pump Pocket underwear to test them out and they are really comfortable and do the job better than I could hope…

I'm on my 4th year with the pump and wear it on my jeans pocket almost all the time. I got SO frustrated to the point of going of my pump for about 5 months because of it getting knocked off in one way or another. But I had an old plastic…

Hey, You have come up with some of my ideas. I've been pumping about 8 years and just recently decided that a pump on one side hanging from my belt and cell phone on the other was getting old. I made a button hole on the inside of a lower…

For me, I use the thigh holder. It fits tight on my leg, so that's not a problem. Also if you wear thigh highs the pump fits very comfortably inside the top.

A baby sock and a safety pin under a skirt can usually work in a pinch

Hi Susie!I have a 2020 and my control is ok except I have been having alot of lows.I got Pumping Insulin by John Walsh for Christmas and I am attempting to reduce my basal rates and my carb ratio. The way the book describes hypoglycemia unawareness describes me to a tee.I am very scared of having complications. It is something I have to get over. For example when I was doing a basal test my bs rose from 6.0mmol to 10.5 mmol and I ended the test and took a correction.I realize now that I will be okay at 10.When I was on injections that number really never bothered me.I want to get the Ping too as soon as it comes to Canada. It won't be available til February.I need to stop the lows first.

Hey susie!
Yes I was 11 years old when I was diagnosed and it took them so long to find it that it almost killed me. I've came a really long way since then and this year I finally chose the pump and my blood sugar has leveled out alot since then! My A1c's have always been pretty bad, but they are alot better now. I can now go weeks without having a 300 reading and I love it. College is a little difficult with diabetes but I always learn to adapt. I actually am a exercise physiology/pre-medicine student and WVU I have hopes of going to medical school and I would like to become an endocrinologist and specialize in juvenile diabetes :)). Well, atleast that is what i've always wanted to do, but recently I've been thinking about getting my masters in exercise physiology then going to Physician assistant school and specializing in diabetes and with the two majors combined i could really help out alot of type 2 diabetics! Either way I plan to use what happened to me to help others...it's a passion of mine! How is your life affected?

Thanks Kristin!
Looking around on here I think I am going to like this web page. I am finding it is nice to be able to talk to other people with diabetes. I am going on week two with my new pump. I am so grateful to be getting control of my blood sugars again and feeling like a normal person. Also thrilled to be off the nine shots a day. Great talking to you and would like to hear more about Hungary..
Susie
