Suzan replied to firstflorde1's discussion 'Animas Vibe' in the group Animas Insulin Pump Users
"I have never used, nor learned to use, the Ping remote. I got the Animas three years back because I was told there would be an Animas pump with a CGM soon ( as if, some three and a half years later I am still waiting)."

Suzan replied to Ron Doyle's discussion 'Any Do's or Don't Do's for new Dexcom G4 user?' in the group Dexcom Users
"I have mine on the thigh, at about 10 or 11 o'clock, on the outside. I sleep on my side where the sensor is, but as I am positioned at 7-9 o'clock, I have no problem."

Suzan replied to Ron Doyle's discussion 'Any Do's or Don't Do's for new Dexcom G4 user?' in the group Dexcom Users

Suzan replied to Ron Doyle's discussion 'Any Do's or Don't Do's for new Dexcom G4 user?' in the group Dexcom Users
"I always tell them that I have it on the thigh because it is more accurate there. Just because they haven't spent the money to get FDA approval for a location other than the abdomen........"

Suzan replied to Ron Doyle's discussion 'Any Do's or Don't Do's for new Dexcom G4 user?' in the group Dexcom Users
"By inner thigh, do you mean sort of to the top of thigh? Otherwise, wouldn't it bother the other leg? I have mine on the outside to the top, so that I don't lay on it. Maybe I should try more inside, as sometimes my pump insertion is also…"

Suzan replied to Ron Doyle's discussion 'Any Do's or Don't Do's for new Dexcom G4 user?' in the group Dexcom Users
"I told the Dexcom rep that the tape isn't as strong on for the G4, tape lasted longer with the 7. She told me that it is the same tape but that the stress on the tape is different because the G4 sensor is a bit taller."

Suzan replied to Libby's discussion 'G4 Sensor failure' in the group Dexcom Users
"If you have had it on for only three days, Dexcom should replace it for free. My G4 sensor failed after four days. The rep told me that it was guaranteed for seven days and sent a replacement. Leave it on and call again, there should be someone on…"

"Until you really know how Dexcom works for you, and how it matches up with your meter, be sure to test before dosing. The closer my number are to 100, be it Dexcom or finger sticks, the better the chance that they will be similar to each other. But…"

Suzan replied to Callahan357's discussion 'Body Placement of the dexcom?' in the group Dexcom Users
"Since I switched from inserting sensor on upper or lower stomach to insertion in my thigh, I get much more accurate results. I had been ready to toss it out the window. Suzan"

Suzan replied to Wiffy's discussion 'Where do most of you wear your dexcom receiver?' in the group Dexcom Users
"It depends on what I am wearing or doing. When on the back of our Harley,I put it in my bra instead of pockets so that I can feel if the alarm sounds (no way could I hear it). It also goes in the bra if I am wearing something loose (sp?)and…"
