when we are being watched

Posted on June 28, 2010 at 6:04pm 1 Comment

I think that it's true that we watch our bs levels closer when we feel that there are people out there that understand and care.

But I know when people are "watching" me and what I eat I want to show them that I can do what I want.

Sometimes that means that I rebel and take an "I'll show you" attitude.

A good friend said once that we shouldn't do the "I'll show you, I'll kill me" rebellion. But that's what we do when don't test and keep track...

insurance

so...insurance gets to choose what we get to take to control our T2 levels? what does everyone else do about their insurance? I'm so grateful for the insurance that I have but why don't they understand what people need? Is it only about the money?

My "non-D" friends don't understand

ok...so my friends don't have any idea of how this is for me...I know, I know poor me! ha...anyway...

I don't really know how to BLOG...is it like a diary? is it a place to complain? Is it a place to post your Hopes, Strengths, Experience?

Ok...I'm a Type 2 on 20 mcg/ day byetta and up to 2000mg/ day metformin per day. Don't know if that's "normal" of not. Is there a normal?

I haven't been taking my meds or taking care of myself lately. Now-my feet hurt and…

Metmorfin is notorious for cramps, gas, and diarrhea.

Breyer's was supposed to have a low carb ice cream, but I haven't seen it in my local grocer. Most people make their own low carb ice cream, at home, with an ice cream maker and heavy whipping cream. :)

Tammy,
Most meters have a slight difference in reading think its because of the way they made or something else not very sure,so the best thing to do is just choose one so in this case your new meter and stick with that.Diabetes is enough headach without having to worry about the differences in meters.
Hope that helps and good luck

somewhere there's a picture of my contribution - I made 5 miniature pincushions and taped them to my fingertips!

my husband takes 2000 of metformin every day. I think his a1c is about 6.9. don't beat yourself up about your diabetes. it's not your fault.
