Okay, I'm brand new to pumping, and I think that may be part of the issue, but in my first box of 10 resevoirs, I had two that were faulty.I could fill them from the vial, no problem, but then, when…Continue

So, I had my endo appointment today (delayed more than a month because of camp, but that's another story) and most of my labs are good (except my vitamin d). My A1C is at 5.6, which is great, and I…Continue

This morning, I accidentally took novolog instead of lantus. I wasn't even planning on eating this morning (not really hungry), and now suddenly, I'm eating more than I usually eat in an entire day.…Continue

It is seriously scary to realize just how many carbs I ate on Christmas day (the final verdict is more than I normally eat in two and a half days). I just carelinked my pump data. Last year, I just ate and drew more insulin and injected and didn't add everything together at the end of the day. Ah well. It's a good thing it only happens once a year--we had pizza Christmas eve, and lasagna on the day, plus random cookies throughout.
But I've been having a good Christmas. My sister was…

Well, life is good. I went to see the endo, and talked her out of statins, although she's going to put me on a low dose of ace-inhibitors which is going to make my blood pressure do funky things, because on days that I'm not at the doctor, my blood pressure tends to run low. Sometimes, when I check at the store, I run like 99/56, which technically means that it thinks I'm dead (I know, it doesn't really mean that). So, I'm still debating whether I'm going to fill the prescription.
On…

Well, I didn't do as much running around campus as I thought I would, but what I did was significant to drop me to 44. I treated, tested, and was up to 58, so I ate another mint, which was the wrong choice because the I was up at 205. Ah well. I probably should have dropped in a temp basal as soon as I decided to go and buy my textbooks at the little shop just off campus, which meant walking there and back again.
I woke up at a more reasonable number this morning--I was at about 115…

I just changed my infusion set for myself for the first time. I would have done it yesterday, except I had random shopping that happened most of the day, so by the time I had a reasonable space of time, it was today. One of my worries starting on the pump was the adhesive, but so far so good. There's a series of concentric circles where my first set was, like a bullseye on my abdomen, but no problem areas.
But this morning, I was running high for hours. I wonder if I maybe had an air…
