Have you ever thought about getting a continuous glucose monitoring system? I've only had one such night-time low since I started on mine in early September. My Dexcom monitor would have caught that one had I set it up to alarm if it moved "out of...

Sid -- It's bad enough with the confusion, soaked PJs, and the possible impending threat of even worse things to come. When this happens to me I often must deal with BGs in the 200-300 range for 8-12 hours into the next day. Night-time lows -- th...

Hi Domo, I have checked out the Spibelt and I understand that quite a few pumpers like this style. I can certainly see runners' and cyclists' interest. Thanks for your suggestion. I'm still in pursuit of a case that suspends from a belt loop wit...

I was able to find Kristen's CaseLogic solution. It was not the one I remember being referred to in a post I no longer can find but Kristen's case looks like it might work for me. I may just order one online. Thanks for your response.

Thanks for the suggestion Sidney. What I'm looking for is a case that does not attach with a belt clip. I'm attracted to the case that hangs from a belt loop below the belt level. It sounds like you have found a good pouch for your pump. I'll chec...

Terry,j Go to Wal Mart. Look in the electronics area for cases for cell phones and cameras. Mine is a RUGGED EQUIPMENT brand with a belt clip. The pouch can swivel and lock into different positions and detatch from the belt clip. 16 dollars. Sid

I've had redness and swelling at my infusion sites but they didn't itch. A recent switch from Novolog to Apidra solved my problem. I'm curious, what insulin do you use?

It looks appealing: non-invasive, no consumables to buy, only have to wear a "personal ear clip," calibration only needed about once per month. Since I have patiently followed the promise of countless continuous glucose measurement products over t...

I think the Omnipod's auto insert is probably my favorite feature of my pump too. :) I know in theory (and practice) that it's better to do it fast, I just haven't gotten up the courage yet. I keep thinking, maybe next time...

Rebecca: i know when i just gently push the Dexcom inserter in, i get pain. Now i just whack it with my hand and it's over in a split second. It's no worse than inserting an infusion set for the pump. I just have to remember to pull back the colla...

Congratulations Elizabeth! Your initiative and "take charge" actions bodes well for your pump success. Keep good BG records and closely monitor your situation. Doing so will educate you on how to adjust your insulin delivery so it accommodates yo...
