I'll have to finish up part 2 soon.
I know how your story goes. I hate starting low and being forced to eat before starting out. I should wait at least 1/2 hour before starting the ride and sometimes I can't or don't want to wait. And I don't want to eat too much and have to begin bolusing and complicating things. Then who knows what the bg level will do during the first hour of the ride anyway, bolus or not.
Saturday's ride started off pretty well.
Hope that roller coaster levels out for you by the time you ride home from work today!

Wow, I just endured a rough ride last weekend. I added a blog entry on my tudiabetes page if you're interested in reading about the Rapsody ride. It was tougher than STP in 1 day, in my opinion, because it was hillier and there were fewer riders and pacelines.

My next ride will be Saturday August 1 - I plan to head out with the JDRF ride group starting at Newcastle at 8 AM for about 70 miles. There are different levels of riders there and things sort out quickly. After that, I am out of town for the Diabetes Training Camp for a week. I signed up for the 170-mile Rapsody ride in 1 day on August 22, though. Interested in joining that one??
