I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 9. I am now 26 and newly married. I have completely ignored the fact that I have diabetes for way too long now and it is time to get my life in order. I had retinopathy surgery on my eyes about 4 or 5 years ago, but other than that, I am surprisingly ok. I am terrified of why the future might bring and right now I am just trying to ensure that I HAVE a future. I want babies some day, and lots of them! Reaching out on this forum is my SOS...and I hope, my journey to recovery!!

Hey Suzanne, Your Diabetic story is very similar to mine. I was a born again Diabetic at the age of 30 ( dx'd at 12 now almost 37). Nice to know there are others out there dealing with the same Diabetic issues.

I was in New Orleans, Louisiana a few months back and had the time of my life, truly an amazing city.

Cheers!

Hey Suzanne! Thanks for thinking of me! I am doing very well had a Dr. Appt last week and had a complete blood work up and physical. Everything is good except my AIC was up high (which I already new it would be) so I took a butt chewing and now we are on a plan and I have been referred to a Diabeties specialist. How are you doing?
