Tiffany, welcome to TuDiabetes. I live in Texas and have dealt with Type 1 since I was 10. I just switched to a Cozmo pump, too. I wish you the best of luck in managing your son's diabetes. I owe so much to my mother's TLC through my childhood with diabetes.

My heart goes out to you--- managing diabetes in such a little guy!

It took me 4-5 years to get to this level. There is SO much to learn!! This is a great place to find lots of ideas and support! Cause there will always be good days and bad days.

In many cases, it's harder with kids because you need to be careful not to let his blood sugar go low!

I use a Cozmo pump as well. One thing that I started doing was giving my bolus 15 minutes BEFORE eating. This really helped my numbers. You should be careful so that it doesn't make Tyrese's blood sugar drop before he eats, but if he is high before eating, then it's a good idea to give the bolus early and wait 15 minutes to eat.
