Hey! I'm sure I cannot really understand how you're feeling as I am far away from having kids, but it seems you're pretty stressed out and I'm sorry for that. And I'm sure there's no need to be sorry for venting here, it's just the right place. :)...

Can stress cause blood sugars to be high? I never really considered that, I just always assumed if my sugars were high then I ate or drank something that I shouldn't have. But today my numbers are high right now it's 437, I have not eaten or drank...

Oh glad to see when we was talking about a pump you really took it into consideration. As far as your kids go I think separate counseling might be a good thing for you right now. It might help you deal with your own emotions and also how to deal w...

Sometimes It's all Just To Much

Can stress cause blood sugars to be high? I never really considered that, I just always assumed if my sugars were high then I ate or drank something that I shouldn't have. But today my numbers are high right now it's 437, I have not eaten or drank anything out of the ordinary so I'm confused. I did have a bit of stressful day but life with 7 kids and a workoholic hubby is always stressful it's just different levels of stress from day to day. But my husband and I have been trying to move for over… Continue

My Life's a mess!

So Sorry for being gone so long. My life is really just a big mess right now. I have 7 children 5 of whom I have adopted, well any way long story short as possible 4 of them are teens now 13-17, My 15 yr old daughter is out of control and i swear she is trying to give me a nervous break down. She is acting out and had been since about 13. She lies about everything under the sun, steals everything she can get her hands on and now she is boy crazy. She has run away and now i find out she is sneaki… Continue

You Might Think I'm Nutz But...

I really have this thing where if my house is a wreck or my bedroom is a wreck I feel like I'm a mess or my life is a mess too. So if I am going to make some serious life changes I need to clean my house. I am far from a clean freak and I don't suffer from OCD but I just feel like it has to be done. So today we (me & my kids) spent the day scrubbing and rearranging. One of the kids called dad at work and gave him a heads up so he oh so conveniently had Over Time at work today lol. That's ok… Continue

This time it's WAR!

Ok, I have made up my mind and I have decided to give myself three months to try to get my Blood sugars under control through a better diet and more exercise. I will take the same amounts of insulin I have been but start to decrease them as my levels drop through diet and exercise. My biggest problem is gonna be not falling into a depression and getting frustrated with not being able to eat the foods I love. I'm not real big on cakes and candies but I love meat and potatoes. I'm a carb junkie, a… Continue

Can't Seem To Get This Under Control

I have had Diabetes for 3 yrs now. I got it with my first baby in 2005, it was very manageable then I just stopped drinking soda and juice and took 2 Glugophage (spelling ?) a day and I was fine my sugar levels were good. Then my second baby came in 2006 and ever since I can't get my sugar levels down to save my life. I still drink nothing but Crystal Light, stopped eating cake, candy, pizza, everything in life I love not even a glass of wine any more. Now I take 3 pills a day 5-6 insulin inject… Continue

Tina - welcome to TuDiabetes - it is wonderful to have you join us! I do sohope you are able to find some advice/suggestion/empathy & understanding on the site. We do have many groups for T2's, and you could do a search under 'Glucophage' or 'poor glucose control' or some such - let me know if I can help you an anyway.
Have you checked with your doctor or diabetes educator or whomever is prescribing the medicine for you? I would definintely at least let them know your glucoses are still this high - perhaps they just need to work with your med schedule a bit.
Do let us know how it works out for you - and again, welcome!
