Thank you for responding. He is a handsome little guy. Have you ever considered getting him on an insulin pump? I remember being young and having this. It was very devestating for me, but things were so different back then. They did not have at home glucose monitoring devices. My mother and father sent me to a camp when I was 10. It was so helpful. I learned how to give my own injections, which gave me more freedom. In today's world, diabetes is so much easier to deal with and they are so advanced in other countries. The actually have inslet devices inserted into the body which carry isulin in Europe. You have to have it filled with insulin once a year. That would be so wonderful. Unfortunately, we have to wait for FDA approval. You have been helpful to me, but I thought perhaps, I could be helpful to you since I was diagnosed at a young age. Keep up the good work. I am glad you are a stay at home mom.

Hi and Welcome, Toddsmom! You are a wonderful mother for being so involved with Todds Type 1 Diabetes. I actually with in the past few years have told my mom "thank you" for taking such good care of me when I was young boy ( I was dx'd at 12) with Type 1 Diabetes.

Cheers!

Hi. I have a 7 year old little girl named Alexis. I worry constantly about her getting diabetes. I was diagnosed at 8. I was wondering what symptoms your little one was showing that you noticed he had it at such a young age.
