DRIFTRUN in the studio and live pics 2008

Hi, my name is Tony and I am 26 years old. I was diagnosed with having Type 1 diabetes on the 10th November1999.

I have recently finished my degree in Music Technology and Sound Recording. I am now spending a lot of time working and playing with my band Driftrun (please check out www.myspace.com/driftrunband), which I play the drums for and also have alot to do with the production/recording of our songs, as well as playing the piano/keyboards/synths on a lot of the recordings.
I am also working on several compositions for media at the moment, which I hope will be used here in the UK in the future.

Until recently i have had excellent control over my diabetes, however, my body seems to have outgrown my usual routine so I am again in a learning curve trying to get my blood sugars back under control. ( I am getting there).
I moved onto Mulitple injections recently and my control is improving. I take 2 injections of long lasting insulin (Humalin) when I wake up and before bed and inject quick acting insulin (Humalog) before eating carbs. So far so good!!!

I thought it was about time I joined a community for diabetics. I never seem to come across diabetics or people who understand my condition in my world? (apart from doctors and nurses) and I really need to talk to people who understand diabetes. I hope to learn a lot and meet some great people by joining this community!!
