Necrobio- What??

I went to the doctor today. Good news is my A1C went down from 8.7 to 7.6. Bad news is I was diagnosed with Necrobiosis Lipoidica Diabetecorum (NLD). The doctor didn't seem too concerned, just told me to try some Cortaid ointment and work on getting my A1C down. Googling it was pretty scary and depressing. Apparently I'm one of the luck 3% or something of diabetics to get it, and most articles made it sound like I will undoubtedly end up with lesions and could possibly lose a leg. Super. Well,…See More

I've had diabetes for over 20 years, and recently my A1c is not looking so good. It's frustrating. I do have plenty of support from my loved ones, but no one that really understands what it's like. I'm looking for some support and advice, and hopefully I can offer some too from my own experiences.
