"Sounds to me that you got a bad batch. I have been using the new pods for 2 months now and have had no failures after priming and 2 occlusions."

"I noticed that the PDM was reading lower too. I tried changing the calibration to 18 and it read high (compared to Dex and One Touch). This is what I got with a calibration of 17. Think I'm going to keep it there. :)"

"I use the liquid skin tac and it does help to secure my pods. I also use adhesive remover before I pull it off. I have taken pods off without it but it's easier and less irritating with the adhesive remover. Have a great vacation! :)"

"I can relate! Since insulin (was misdiagnosed as type 2 first) I have gained 24 lbs. SO frustrating! I too am watching what I eat and exercising but my weight has slowly been creeping up over the last 14 months. Wish I had the answer for both of us!"

"It has only been 3 weeks for me but so far I love it. Way better control than I had with MDI and so much more discrete. It's my first pump so I can't really compare it to any others but wouldn't even consider one with tubing, myself."

This is a great place to share, to learn, and to grow...all the while meeting new people world wide, and making friends.
Take a peek at some the groups when you get a chance. Just go to the top of your page, and click on "Groups". Once in,
click on "all groups". You can either peruse the wide array of available groups....or simply type a specific interest in the
space provided.
Take in some of the blogs/discussions as well.
The resource boxes at the top of the home "Home" page, and
"About us" at the very bottom of your page and every page (the footer), offer you more information still.

Search the site for answers. Read the discussions and blogs for information. There are videos to help you understand diabetes and its treatment. Most of all there is family to talk to and even to vent to, if needed. Welcome home.
