Thanks, Trev. My fasting BG is finally in the 80's without medicine. Yesterday it was 86, today it was 89. Friday morning it was 103, so that's definitely a good thing that it finally dropped down to normal range. Atkins may be one of the most extreme of the low-carb diets, but whatever affects my stubborn BG should help my stubborn weight at the same time (I think). I'm going to invest in a digital scale as soon as I can afford it to track my weight better since I'm not going back to the doctor until May I guess.

I'm doing ok I guess. I met with my doctor yesterday. The good news is that my most recent fasting bloodwork shows that everything seems to be healthy except for my BG and weight. She wants me to go on Metformin so that I have an easier time losing weight, but I think if I'm stricter with my low-carb diet I should be able to lose weight and control my BG anyways. So, today I'm starting Atkins to reduce my carbs more. I'm trying to lose 46 pounds to reach the target weight for my height since I'm considered to be that much overweight (which translates into obese).
