You are correct but just be cautious about excessive meats. Eg] I would love a 15 oz steak but I stick to 12 oz and below as to much protein challenges your kidneys. :) Trev

Well Trevor, thanks for reply, pretty open and honest so you are.I know it's keeping me alive but sometimes I just wanna block it all out, party, have fun blah blah and then in the midst of a good shindig some know it all starts stating the clear hard facts and quite frankly I wanna smack em, obviously don't as generally they are always harder and taller ha ha, but I think you get my point. I am on a learning curve, I will do what I feel is right and learn by my mistakes I suppose. I know doughnuts are bad but I have figured they are bad for bloomin everyone so up my insulin enjoy doughnut it figures ha ha.
take care

Greetings from a insulin-dependent, clinically dead, in Boston, with a BG of 880 since with my second chance have been a ROLE MODEL to over 40,000 diabetics and at 91 is a computer rookie, like a kid with a new toy. I am mentoring to those new members who live in areas that have little or no diabetes info and I ask them WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR AREA TO IMPROVE YOUR DIABETES PREVENTION & AWARENESS PROGRAM? also WHAT DO YOU KNOW? Since 1977 when diagnosed have been on a fantastic journey of what a HAPPY DIABETIC looks and act like. Would you please call 5 DIABETICS, and yourselt, join me , in silence, on JULY 30 INSULIN APPRECIATION DAY, and give THANKS FOR INSULIN, giving hundreds of millions of US a chance to live healthy productive lives TODAY. Check out www.restorethebantinghomesteadcom. and see AMIGOS will be selling BLUE ROSES that day. We chose this particular flower because its meaning,"ATTAINING THE IMPOSSIBLE" is our mission and motto.Being involved with LIONISM for 37 years, strongly request that you check out their excellent, DIABETES AWARENESS PROGRAM. Hi Trevor, I am on the injections 4 times a day. I have thought of a pump but i felt it would be like having a colostomy bag attached lol and i didn't fancy that one bit. I have a hard enough time knowing that I have this illness so to speak so i don't want to feel it attached to my body 24/7.
take care
sandra
