I'm fairly new to this site. Is there a private blood glucose daily log that is avaiable on this site? I've looked and can't find one here. I am currently using the one on "Everyday Health" but would…Continue

Plantar fasciitis + Day 8 of Detox.

I have plantar fasciitis and it's acting up again. I know that feet are a big issue for diabetics and must be watched carefully. Does anyone know if Plantar fasciitis is more prevalent in diabetics or is it just something that happened?I am on day 8 of my 21 day detoxification program. So far I have been sticking to it except for Sunday. I went away and forgot to bring the shakes and supplements. I cheated a bit but not much. I had my fruit and vegetables (in an omelet) and drank a shake late…See More

Detox Day 2 and still Rambling

Had a good day, a little tired but not hungry. Decided to change my profile picture since October 31 is the Celtic New Year, never too early to start. I found an electronic glucose tracker chart on the "everyday health.com" website; I like to see things mapped out on spreadsheets & charts it allows me to clearly see how I'm really doing. Thanks for the comments. I know A1C of 6.9 is not horrendous, I guess it's all relative to whatever numbers the reader has. My diabetic doctor wants the…See More

Back on Track:

It's been awhile but I'm motivated to get back on track. I've been semi-watching my numbers (I know not good). My A1C is 6.9 not great but not horrendous. I had a very stressful year but I'm committed to getting back on track. I find if I write things down I keep to the plan; some reason seeing everything in writing makes it real for me. Yesterday I had a long visit with Dr. A my nutrition guru. She was not happy with my numbers; I gained the weight back…

On Meds for 3 Weeks

Posted on April 15, 2011 at 7:01pm 3 Comments

Went to the doctor on Tesday he was very pleased with my b/s numbers. I'm down to the 120's in the morning, I was up in the 300's 3 weeks ago. I will keep taking the metformin & glimeperide. I feel much better, except for the occasional hot flash about an hr after I take the medication. Doc says thats common.

I need to get back to the gym, I had late meetings 3 nights this week so the gym was not happening. Next week should be better.

I'm still working on which food does and… Continue
